Based on extensive safety engineering research

Research into slipping accidents at the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland led to the development of the Devisys heel stops.
The heel stops are the result of a research in VTT’s Safety Engineering Laboratory.

VTT’s study on walking-related slipping injuries found that a slip of the heel and the resulting loss of balance is the most common reason leading to a fall.

This is why the Devisys heel stop cleats cover the whole heel.

The design principles for Devisys heel stop cleats were:
